Fall Themes

Dear parents and families,

Thank you everyone for making this a great year so far. As a reminder, please remember that parent/teacher conferences will take place on Wednesday November 5th from 5:30 p.m. to 8p.m. and Thursday, November 6th from 12:30 to 3 p.m. If you are unable to make it either day, I can accommodate you on a different day. In addition, The Annual Day of Thanks Celebration will be on Tuesday, November 25th at 11:30 AM.

Now that the weather is changing please make sure that your child is wearing a winter jacket on colder days. Students should also have a winter hat, gloves and boots when it snows.
We encourage the students to come to school everyday, but if they are unable to attend feel free to call me and let me know about the absence.

We have finished with our animal theme and completed many fun art activities. The students showed a great deal of interest in identifying animals and imitating animal sounds.
Next month our theme will focus on “fall” and will include leaves, pumpkins, apples and turkeys. Goals will include size concepts and colors. We will alsocontinue to expand upon what we have learned about animals and body features.
The students are doing well with their individual picture schedules and many are able to complete these independently. These schedules help the students to better plan their day by identifying what is next in the routine.

Thanks,
Frank, Deborah and Teresa
